Bus Parking

Unfortunately, the University Policy states that we cannot accommodate any parked buses on campus.  Oftentimes, the bus/shuttle drivers know of areas to park.  Buses/shuttles are more than welcome to drive along Palm Drive (the entrance of campus) and drop off at the roundabout (in front of Abby Sobrato Mall).  Once dropped off, we recommend buses park along Campbell Ave. (across from the University Villas; building #1260) where there is a long stretch of street parking available.

Below is a map for visual reference:

For emergency safety reasons, buses may only return when they have had communication that guests are physically waiting for pick up at the roundabout.

Bronco Alert Registration

If you are a visiting guest attending an event at the University and you would like to be subscribed to SCU Bronco Alerts while you're on campus, you may subscribe for 5 days. Afterwhich, the subscription will automatically expire.

From your smartphone, text "SCUEVENTS" to 226787 (CAMPUS) to receive alerts from SCU Bronco Alert

SCU Bronco Alerts will consist of Emergency Notifications, Timely Warnings, and other types of safety messaging. They can be issued to the Campus Community via SMS text message, Guardian App, the SCU Website, voice calls, email, and in certain situations, social media.

Some examples of the types of information you might receive in an emergency:

  • Shelter in-place or evacuation order

  • Campus closure for any reason

  • Avoid a certain area of campus because of a localized emergency

Many of these situations require rapid response and notifications. The University's Campus Alert system is the primary method to accomplish this.

*Emergency Notifications Scope:

  • Wide focus which may include Clery Act crimes - Alerts the campus community about significant emergencies or dangerous situations.

*Timely Warnings Scope:

  • Narrow focus on Clery Act crimes - Alerts the campus community about crimes that pose a serious or continuing threat to safety.

The intent of SCU Bronco Alert is to enable guests and members of the campus community to protect themselves and those around them.

Evacuation Zone

If there is a need to evacuate Benson Center, the evacuation zone is the lawn north of Benson Center (between Kenna and Benson Buildings)
